Month Of December

Working on my mystery quilt, I have done 
only seventeen of the first clue so far. 

Stopped to oil my machine.
We are in the process of buying another house. Will sign the papers next month, we like moving in Dec. That was the month we moved here in 2014.
I'm really not looking forward to the packing or lifting don't know that I can do it we'll see.
Hoping to fine someone to move the big things.
This house was my Aunts house that passed away
in August.

By-By To The Old House

 I have a update on my house, the closing has been moved out another month to Oct 25. I do have some good news the appraisal went threw so we will be moving for sure. Just not sure when. We signed the paper back in June to accept this offer.

 Since this will be the last time I have photos of this old house thought I would give you a tour. The photos are of the listing that was put in real estate.

I have two more bedrooms and another room

off the living room that could be used as a dining room.

I never have taken a picture of that room.

 I have shown one of the bedroom before...

it was my toile bedroom....I have shown one of my baths also

so I didn't add then here. 

The other bedroom is my computer / junk room.

You wouldn't want to see it.

My Old House

It has been a few months now since I showed my old house being worked on. First thing my oldest son was working on was the trim and vinyl when that was done he started putting a metal roof on. That has been done for about 2 months now.

Our fireplace was leaking so before we would use it it had to be covered. They covered it with tarps and it has been this long getting the tarps off and the chimney covered up so it can't rain in.... we have gas logs in the fireplace and didn't want them damaged. This was done yesterday and today I went out to take pictures....sorry about the front porch being a mess I didn't know the tarps were still there...hubby just hasn't gotten around to moving them yet.

After the trim was done and gutters were taken down....looks better here

Now to get gutter's put back up.

on these at the end of summer and got all of us sisters one

and her kids. I think she got eleven of them.

She was  very generous ....I DO LOVE MINE.

 

Bathroom Redo

After some awfully hard work our bathroom is done..... thanks to my hubby and son.  I don't want to spoil this post by showing the before pictures ....if you would like to see the before go here  you won't believe the different.

                                  

This was hubby project so I told him to pick out what he wanted I didn't even go with him....let him and my son go to Lowe's and pick out the tile.

                            
                             


 I have taken a liking to all the browns and blues that seem to be the going thing now......so I picked out three shower curtains in those two colors and ask hubby to pick the one he
liked best.....he picked out the butterfly's and handy them to me I put them in the basket...he said you like them...I said yes they match good.   

I didn't have a outlet in here ....before there was a wall heater here. Hubby put one in and he put

bead board covers for the plug and switch to

match the vanity....he picked out the vanity.

I'm not liking it....it may have to go

I did pick out the color of the grout

I didn't like the color he picked out

it was white

so we took it back and got gray I

thought the light color gray would show up

that's in the tile but it didn't.

well she's small but so new and clean

I just have to love her.

Wow on my last post I showed you a scary bathroom... well no more... my son is working on it at this very minute.....  I was so glad to see what the finish is going to be like that I couldn't wait for him to get done.... to show you ...he only has this part of the wall done......can't you tell I'm overjoyed.......well I sure am....

                                                                        

Bath Redo Beware

Hello long time....  I have been in a wee bit of a slump or dump really don't know what to call it ...no energy..... this time of the year the allergies really work on my sinuses and my eyes....have gone to the dr twice for sinus and stopped up head every morning....first round of meds didn't do any good now I'm on the second round I have to take for fourteen days.

My son has been working on our front bathroom . I have taken some pictures of it in the process of  him removing it and I thought.... should I show this are not... it's kind of scary........well be prepared.....  I'll show you any ways..................       

                              

This is where I'll go in a case of a Tornado it has 2x6 studs in the walls 

we didn't want to have to remove all the tiles we were going to tile over them...the tub would not

come out any other way he had no choice but to remove them and I know you know

what a mess we have had with dust....I was trying to avoid that. This bathroom didn't have a

a vent or a electric outlet in it so hubby is going to fix that.

This tub was solid steel or iron they had a time removing it....

it must have weighted between 300or 500 lbs.

He is retiling it now as I write this don't know how long it will take

I do know I'll be glad.... my floors are a nightmare and we have hubby's mother 

here three days a week with one bathroom that is in the room where she sleeps

which is another nightmare.

P.S.I already had the sinus infection before he started working on the bathroom.

Hello Ladies
Been A Long Time, I Hope I Find You All Doing Well
We have gotten most of our things moved.....still like the garage and moving our storage building that my son build us...I hope it can be moved....not sure yet how much trouble it will be cause its set up on blocks not runners.

After the first two days of moving I have been down...... could hardly walk for a few days ....so I haven't gotten a lot done..... my sister that is moving in my other house has moved the rest of my things for me this weekend Doug had to work over the weekend so he wasn't able to do it.......after she finished moving me she moved her self  (with some help) of course she couldn't have done it all.

I have a few pictures of our kitchen before and after to show you.... we still have so much to do and I am going to have our Christmas with our kids and grand kids here on the 19th so I need to get moving better then this old body wants to. I'm pretty sure I have fibromyalgia I had to quit working back in 2003 but my Dr says its my diabetics.....I how ever know the differant in the two pains I have.

that we now know is to big and won't fit without we cut out the

cabinets above the stove.....pretty sure I'm not going to do that

Doug would have to do it and he has to much to do now so I

will return it and get a range hood and a new microwave or just use the one you see here

I've set to long here I'm getting stiff need to move around

We Will Be Moving

The call came in this morning that they accepted our offer......we will be moving...just not sure when or how long this process will take....the house will need quite a bit of cleaning it has been sitting closed up since April during the hottest year we have had so you can guess how musty it smells........going over and opening up the windows today. These are the pictures that were in the realty listing..........

                   I remember when this house was build..... my parents had build a house across the road from it......it was build in 63 and they build they're in 63 or 64.......we already lived on this road before the houses were build.....then In 66 we moved to Chicago Ill..........that's another story.......wondering what these cabinet would look like white.....what is the best kind of paint to use on cabinets.

Old Homes

This old house is still standing not far from where I live.....while out riding one Saturday I thought this would be something I could share this with my blogger.......as there are not too many of these left.....and so I stopped and got out to make the picture and saw the front door was open......I said to my sisters I think someone is still living here .....well I don't know for sure......hope I didn't invade someones privacy  

         this well house or spring house was located across the road......the only refrigeration they had

              

 on down the road about a mile was another old house......I don't know how old they are but I would say very very old........Stopped in the middle of the road to get this one and I know no one lived here
