Easy Street

Update yesterday dec 30 2022 I gave this quilt to Debbie a sister
for her birthday.

Easy Street was a 2012 Mystery
By Bonnie Hunter
I have always wanted to make this quilt
finally it's done.
Another of the quilts I took to B J's to have quilted.

The only change I made from Bonnie's quilt was
using solid white for my background.

Quilt Mystery

Appears after I have been gone for a while Blogger is getting harder to use instead of better, started my writing in the middle of the page. Would not allow me to more the photo down so I could write. Do you think they just may read this. I don't know maybe.

Now that I have vented.
My quilt in progress is a mystery by
Laundrybasketquilts.com

I used what I had some that I didn't know what I would use it for, mostly pink so I think it worked out OK. Making it a complete

mystery for me. She has beautiful fabric, just a bit out of this thrifty quilters reach.

I do wish they had spell checker here MY age IS SHOWING.

What I don't like about her quilts is it's a square, makes it hard to make bigger. I like my quilts LONGER.

My blog is a catalog for my quilts. Hope you enjoy seeing them.
Take Care be safe.

My Latest Work's

I finished up three quilts since last Nov, not wanting to wait until things got really bad so that we could not go anywhere, my sister and I decided we would take a trip to BJ'S Quilting in McMinnville TN.

This is the quilt I had made for her..... as soon as we got back to my house we took photos before she had to leave my hubby and her was holding it as best they could the wind was fighting them. This  is a free pattern at quiltville.blogspot.com this is the second one I have made both were given to sisters. Name is Pineapple Blossom Debbie's Quilt.

I also has my Bonnie Hunter mystery quilt Frolic quilted so they tackled the wind again for me. I had two other quilts quilted, Will have to get photos of them at another time.

This Years Mystery Quilt By Bonnie Hunter

Frolic Is Finished, This Years Mystery Quilt By Bonnie Hunter.

This is my fourth mystery. I have enjoyed making them all.
It can be found under her blog Quiltville.
I called myself using up some ugly fabric in this.
Didn't buy any, used what I had. I do have quite a bit of fabric
that my aunt left me.  Well when its cut up small its not so ugly.

Crumb Quilt

I made a trip to BJ'S quilting on the day my dear aunt was found, she had just went there the week before her passing.

I had four quilts quilted that day and when I got home I got a call about her and hasn't thought about my quilts.

So I will share one of them today. I gifted it to a sister. Ruby's Quilt.
Had already gave two sister's a quilt. Then one wanted me to set her's '' she had made'' together so I did then I had it quilted for her.

Well after she saw this one I got a call from her saying I need to make her one. Lol so I guess I have one more to do.

This is called a Crumbs Crumbs Crumbs quilt. One of Bonnie Hunters free patterns.

I also had my mystery quilt quilted from this pass year.

It has been finished for a while. I waited until I had all that I was going to do this year up until the next mystery comes out in Nov.
A little tall for the hubby to hold up lol.

Now I have another one to make before the mystery comes out for a sister....maybe I will get it done by then.

On Ringo Lake Mystery Quilt

It is so warm here makes one think summer is here. I'm thinking its not. Had a stormy night last night. Old winter will show its head again, is my bet.

Not doing much sewing at this time, had cataracts removed from both eyes. Waiting for new glasses.

Boy will I be glad to get them.
Wanting to get finished with this quilt so I can start another.

I do get bored sometimes with doing the same thing over and over.
I see why so many start other projects before finishing one.

Something I have decided not to do, knowing I would never get them done.

Here is what I was working on Bonnie Hunters Mystery Quilt
On Ringo Lake is the name of this one.

As far as I have gotten, this is set on point ,will be my first.

God Bless Trish

Hello

Good evening to all visiting with me. Here we are in 2018 did you ever think you would see it.
I haven't had the time to work on the internet lately. I along with one other sister are taking turns keeping our dad since mid Dec.

Debbie has him this week for me to have a cataract removed. She is the one on the left. So I haven't done much of anything this week. Have not been sewing on my Mystery Quilt, missing it. I did get one block done to see what it would look like before the surgery.

Using the orange I already had. I did order a few of the other colors from Marshall's Dry Goods they have some good prices, its all good quality fabrics that I received.
I only have two clues done so I will be enjoying this one for a while. Still have one more eye surgery to go.
Have a good day. God bless Trish

Quilting Mistakes

Just incase someone is out there that has never heard of Bonnie Hunter. She has Quilt Cam for your viewing, it will on her
blog  Under Quilt Cam at the top of the page, todays will be posted Monday,  you can also find free quilt patterns. Once a year she has a Mystery Quilt she shares for all to make.

Yesterday was working on one of her free quilt patterns the pineapple blossom.

My oh my I had to give it up, guessing I was more tired then I thought.

Can you see my mistakes. Not only one but two. Glad I found them before they were sewn into the quilt. I had only gotten four sewn before finding these.

Think goodness they were ok. So I stopped.

Using up scraps left over from my other quilts. I think after this quilt I will have to start cutting into yardage.

Hopeing to make this last until the next mystery quilt comes out, when I find out what colors I will need, before cutting up something that I could use.

Bonnie tells the colors In late October. Then the quilt mystery starts after thanksgiving day.

Forgive me if my spelling is wrong for some unknown reason spell checker has stop working on my computer as well as the blog. Any
one have a idea as to why would love advice.

God Bless Trish

En Provence

My progress has been small to say the least. This is what has been going on with the Bonnie Hunter Mystery Quilt.

First two clue's I worked on.

First two blocks done on to the third one
I had to buy another seam ripper on this quilt top
so far lol.

To much going on to get to do
much sewing. A new great grand baby for one.
I am going with scraps on this one so it is taking more time
there are over 3,000 pieces in this top.

I do like it so far. Going to take my time.
See if I can't do better on my points. I can see a few still that I need to redo.
To see what other are sharing you can go here.
To Bonnie's link up.
