Fall

We are enjoying the fall at our house. Its pretty to me. I don't think my neighbors think the way I do. The ones next door have about as many leaves off the tree as we do.
The truth being that it wouldn't have gotten this bad had hubby not had neck surgery. He is in a collars for four weeks. We had to hire the work done.
Two days later after all the rain it looks like this again.

 We has so many trick or treaters that we ran out of candy,
 had to turn out the lights, they were still coming on our street until
 nine o'clock the last time I looked out. They were getting so wet
 it rained all evening.

Falling Leaves

                                      before it lost its leaves. Just look at all those leaves
                                 
                                       My poor neighbor, he hates leaves, always running his mower
                                      cleaning them up. The wind has been up that's why there are so many.

 

 

 

I do think it is pretty, love the color of fall.

Time Of The Year

Happy Halloween. I hope all is well with you today. We are very blessed we were not in the path of the storm.  I hope you were not as well.

I want to thank BJ for the gift she made for me, my header. Isn't it just prefect for this time of year.

Fall Themes

  My granddaughter said to me granny you don't decorate for Halloween. I said no I decorate for fall. I'm not into spider, witches, skulls that sort of thing.

 So what little décor we have done

 We'd like to share. First is a idea she saw on Pinterest. A pumpkin.

 

she made this with canning rings, fake fall leaves, broken tree branch, from out side.

Here I just added a few flowers and fruit to the top of my TV cabinet. Hubby mothers old kerosene lamp. I just can't seem to get rid of old items. Has nothing to do with fall.

 

 Using what I already had on hand most of it being GW fines.

Fall is here...I have been doing a little fall cleaning and DE cluttering. I would like to say decorating.
I try! However I never seem to get it right. I guess the biggest thing is I won't buy the things needed to do the job well...o well....I did go to the dollar tree and get two of those cute little pumpkin's I have been seeing in blog land.

I also got a few pieces to make me a fall wreath. I had all kinds of flowers...but nothing for fall.....I spend all of five dollar's here and two on the pumpkin's........

this is what I came up with for my fall mantel...I am being a copy cat here using my candle sticks. I would never have thought of this on my own.

using the goodwill gourds I found a few weeks ago...they are fall aren't they.... this little plate said fall to me...its so close to the colors of the leaves.

my little boxes I have had for years they are special...if there were such a thing as reincarnation....which I don't for a minute believe there is....I would guess that I had been born in the Victorian times....

that's my love of olden times and things.
