My Bath

I said to my self did I ever show my bath since I have moved, I don't think so.
While it is a little clean, been cleaning, could be better but not tonight. I'm done pooped.


So here is my cute little bath. With me in it.

Now I know why they search for the fountain of youth.

                                         The tiles on the wall match the ones on the floor

                                                                        I would like to stain glass this window... the house next door has a upstairs window.
    I don't dare put a mirror on the wall. I don't know that anyone could see in....you know how that is.

 

I see I hadn't put my towels back out sorry about that it looks bare.

 

So glad to have the cleaning done.

Packing & A Bath Redo

Hello everyone. This is the day to start doing some packing.
I started..... most of my time has been spend shredding mail and old papers saved for years. I had some from 29 years ago. Wow moving is a big job.

We had a offer on our house back in June. The closing has been moved out to Aug 29.

In the mean time....our yearly termite inspection comes along. The man tells me he has found a leak under the house.I call our plumber we have always used since we moved here. He priced it to put in a
bathtub. I waited for four weeks on him, never showed.

Called  a few more before I got someone that would do the work they didn't want to put in a bath tub...they had a tile man that could put the shower back in. I was getting worried it wouldn't get done before we closed so I said fine. 

You can see it before here. My son put the shower in for us and didn't know to put a liner in so the tile was letting water get threw. The tile man  said he sees this all the time. It is fixed now. I am glad its over.
Can you tell the differ in the bottom row of tile. I think he did a good job matching, we couldn't fine the old tile.

Mirror Update

Hubby has our mirror finished and hung...he put a molding on the inside. I like the way it looks.

I like the brown pitcher better than the rooster I showed  before with my fake blue flowers.

I am happy with how it has all turned out and so glad its done...... its only 100%

better than it was when we moved in here. Hubby got me a huge pack of batteries

 I took about six pictures of the mirror and the camera only had two on it... the batteries

were dead again...I think I need another camera and just got this one for Christmas.

If I do get another.....  I want one that will charge in the house or car and not need batteries.... if there is such a thing.

I am going to try and find it....wish me luck

of course it will have to fit my.... pocket book.... cash reserve that is.

Mirror For Our Bathroom

My hubby has been making a mirror for our bathroom.....we had a huge mirror in there that went all the way across the sink and commode...he cut it down to fit over the sink and made a frame .......here is the beginning of our new mirror I took this before I started painting it.....

while I was at it I took these pictures of my yard sale find  from last year a cute little cabinet with

a hutch .....now I know they are much needed in my kitchen. I 'm showing them so I can make myself 

finish them....I have burned myself out on painting since buying this big old house.

I would like to get them done I would just love them....I need some get up and go.............mine has got up and went lol and I don't know how to get it back...must of went on vacation.

The mirror is finished thanks to hubby.

Batteries went dead.... plugged the rechargeable ones in the wall got up in the night hear a sizzling

 it was the batteries.....still can not remember to get more.

Changed to a glass jar still not sure

Bathroom Redo

After some awfully hard work our bathroom is done..... thanks to my hubby and son.  I don't want to spoil this post by showing the before pictures ....if you would like to see the before go here  you won't believe the different.

                                  

This was hubby project so I told him to pick out what he wanted I didn't even go with him....let him and my son go to Lowe's and pick out the tile.

                            
                             


 I have taken a liking to all the browns and blues that seem to be the going thing now......so I picked out three shower curtains in those two colors and ask hubby to pick the one he
liked best.....he picked out the butterfly's and handy them to me I put them in the basket...he said you like them...I said yes they match good.   

I didn't have a outlet in here ....before there was a wall heater here. Hubby put one in and he put

bead board covers for the plug and switch to

match the vanity....he picked out the vanity.

I'm not liking it....it may have to go

I did pick out the color of the grout

I didn't like the color he picked out

it was white

so we took it back and got gray I

thought the light color gray would show up

that's in the tile but it didn't.

well she's small but so new and clean

I just have to love her.

Wow on my last post I showed you a scary bathroom... well no more... my son is working on it at this very minute.....  I was so glad to see what the finish is going to be like that I couldn't wait for him to get done.... to show you ...he only has this part of the wall done......can't you tell I'm overjoyed.......well I sure am....

                                                                        

Bath Redo Beware

Hello long time....  I have been in a wee bit of a slump or dump really don't know what to call it ...no energy..... this time of the year the allergies really work on my sinuses and my eyes....have gone to the dr twice for sinus and stopped up head every morning....first round of meds didn't do any good now I'm on the second round I have to take for fourteen days.

My son has been working on our front bathroom . I have taken some pictures of it in the process of  him removing it and I thought.... should I show this are not... it's kind of scary........well be prepared.....  I'll show you any ways..................       

                              

This is where I'll go in a case of a Tornado it has 2x6 studs in the walls 

we didn't want to have to remove all the tiles we were going to tile over them...the tub would not

come out any other way he had no choice but to remove them and I know you know

what a mess we have had with dust....I was trying to avoid that. This bathroom didn't have a

a vent or a electric outlet in it so hubby is going to fix that.

This tub was solid steel or iron they had a time removing it....

it must have weighted between 300or 500 lbs.

He is retiling it now as I write this don't know how long it will take

I do know I'll be glad.... my floors are a nightmare and we have hubby's mother 

here three days a week with one bathroom that is in the room where she sleeps

which is another nightmare.

P.S.I already had the sinus infection before he started working on the bathroom.
