State Of Lost

Hello to all. I am in a state of lost....as to what could be going on. Our closing didn't happen. I had a call today asking us for another extension for another month. My reply was to tell them to get it done and get it done now. I'm not kidding my self that will do any good but never the less I said it.

The buyer are just as lost as we are. I was told a month ago that they had closed on there house..... this morning I'm told they have not closed. Doesn't make any since to me. I have a feeling this is not going to take place at all.

Waiting on a call back to my reply. I am sure I know what it will be. Another waiting period. I have waited this long I will wait another month then I will call it off if nothing happens, I'll  have to say it wasn't mint to be. 

Remember the house I showed that we were going to buy, but lost.

 I took this last photo yesterday while out riding around. Setting in the road taking a photo unaware that someone was behind me. You can see them in the mirror scared the heck out of me when I looked up and saw the car. So glad they didn't hit me. 

Where I am moving

I have been asked where am I moving. This is the house we have put a offer on in town.

 Can anyone tell me what kind of tree this is. The next door neighbor said he had asked for years
and no one new what it was.

The lady that lived here moved here in 2000 so she didn't plant it.
She passed away in June at the age of 87. She worked at the drug store on the square in our little town for 60 years.

My Old House

It has been a few months now since I showed my old house being worked on. First thing my oldest son was working on was the trim and vinyl when that was done he started putting a metal roof on. That has been done for about 2 months now.

Our fireplace was leaking so before we would use it it had to be covered. They covered it with tarps and it has been this long getting the tarps off and the chimney covered up so it can't rain in.... we have gas logs in the fireplace and didn't want them damaged. This was done yesterday and today I went out to take pictures....sorry about the front porch being a mess I didn't know the tarps were still there...hubby just hasn't gotten around to moving them yet.

Now to get gutter's put back up.

and her kids. I think she got eleven of them.

She was  very generous ....I DO LOVE MINE.

 

Dining room....

Haven't done much in the way of decorating ...which I'm not any good at anyways

.......unlike some of you very talented ladies.... I have put up a few pictures

in the dining room....its really in the kitchen...the room we were going to use as a dining

room I have kept closed off to keep from heating it....I have also kept the sewing room closed off

for the time we have been here to keep from heating it.....Ladies to be honest with you 

the four bedrooms large kitchen, living room and two baths are quite enough for me 

right now to heat and clean.....the sewing room is serving its purpose it is holding all my things I

have no room for in the rest of the house....keeps me from being crowded like I was in the other house

my plans are to open it up when we sale the other house and get the cost of two houses

off us......

the picture is really no uneven as it looks on the wall ...just me..lol

I need to find a shelf to go here the one I had used before I used in the living

room....one of these days I'll put up curtains when I find some that speak to me..

I don't think they need to be green a little to much of that already.

Wow! I am finally warm

Wow!  I am finally warm... can't believe the different the gas has made.... we just have had the fire place gas logs installed this morning...... that was what I was waiting on to make another picture to show you.

Since we have moved here the central unit has ran constantly....I'm actually worry about getting the light bill...this is the warmest this house has been since moving in.....I told the man that put the gas in I didn't like gas....this is the first gas heater I have had inside I had a gas central unit in the last house.....he said you will....I already think he knows what he's talking about..........

as you can see I haven't done curtains yet.... tell me what you think would look best...... full  length curtains or a topper....
I love this clock ...I may have set it a bit high above the mantel....now that I can see it in the picture....It was give to me with a purchase of a dinning room table from craigslist.

           The stockings are from left to right Doug's snowman my Santa Claus Alicia's teddy bear and the stocking hangers match the stockings....they are so cute to have only been a dollar a piece....the metal tin I set up on the mantel came full of cookies..... I liked the picture that's what I bought it for.

Now I'm liking the house even more....I have had the sewing room and the big dining room cut off and not heating them ....hoping now I can get in there and start setting it up.
                       A few close ups...this is Alicia's Art project Doug hit when working on the fireplace and broke it so half of it is laying on the coffee table.....hopfully she can fix it..

I have one more room that carpet was put in ....My new sewing room......  I'm just thrilled to have this done and it looks so clean to me...... however we are not finished with it yet doors and closet doors have to still be painted hubby took them down and moved them to another room to paint......actually the room in the bottom picture with my shoes  I pulled off before walking on the carpet.

You can also see my rainbow vacuum cleaner in the picture.....I can say it has been worth its money on this job alone and I have had it over ten years....I don't drag it out for everyday use tho because of its weight....I have a oreck that only weighs eight lbs for that......and I love my oreck to......... 

right now the doors will have to wait maybe even until we are moved in there is still more to do like the kitchen cabinets that we are working on now......

Ladies I have new carpet....love it...love it.... it was put down yesterday...... I feel like we have made some progress......sorry I have nothing else to share with you but my house.....I'm just to pooped  to do anything else these days....

This first picture is before the carpet was put down.....I loved this color green........oh my what happened..... this is after the carpet was put down.....was it the carpet or the time of day I don't know.

I used the same color paint in my kitchen. I liked it so well when we did the bedroom......would you believe its a differ color then both of the pictures below. I think its the way the light hits it... will have to see after blinds are up.

Dalton Georgia

Seems like its been a long time since I've had time to post.....we took a trip to Dalton Georgia yesterday to see carpet......I've been looking it up on the net and thinking we could save a lot of money....boy was I wrong.

It turned out to be a completely wasted day.....only thing good about it was seeing all the fall colors on the trees and wouldn't you know I forgot my camera.....I  could just kick myself.....to much going on for this little mind to remember....... even when we go over to the new house I forget it....so far all we've done is kilz the walls and woodwork......Joseph and Doug have done most of that I've been washing down the doors and trim and windows before they're kilzed..........we don't work on it but about two days a week we just aren't able to hold out to do it anymore... age has its downfalls doesn't it.

Back to the carpet my sister came by yesterday evening after she got off work and wanted me to ride to Huntsville with her so I did.......we went to Lowe's and I picked out carpet there.....they install a house of carpet for 97 dollars can't beat that.... they also will deliver the carpet.......so Doug doesn't have to do any lifting.....which I am really glad of .

They are going to call and set up a time to come and measure our rooms.........I can't wait for this to be done it makes me tired just thinking about it.

We also went to J C Penny's and they had a fifty percent sale off they're sheets and curtains....well almost everything in the store so I got me a king set and Alicia two full sets and Martha got a set of curtains for her living room.

Last night while we were in J C Penny's Alicia got a text message telling her that one of her classmates was killed in a car wreck........she was texting while driving and hit a wall of some kind and another child thaat was with her is in the hospital.....haven't hear how she is doing yet. Made me think of this picture I have.
I hate this but at the same time I'm glad she didn't hit someone else's child.

Working Hard

Well time for a little update......my son and my hubby have been very hard at work on the house there is so much to do....it was so dusty and musty from being closed up threw all this hot weather we had this summer........I don't know if it was the cause but I had to go to the Dr today with a sinus infection....here are some pictures of them hard at work in what will be my sewing room it is a 24 by 24

After they got this done Joseph started working painting the ceiling and  priming the walls

Doug went to working in the kitchen........I was dusting mostly all the surfaces with the vacuum cleaner

that's about all I have gotten done so far I'm just not able to do much at a time....but we'll get it done no need in rushing these old bones.lol

This is a beautiful tree that's in full autumn colors in the from yard.

I feel like I will really like it here when we do get moved in.

The House Is Ours

Good news to tell....... we just came from signing the papers..... the house is ours.

Well now ladies the work can begin......if I can find some one that want's a job ...I know I won't be able to do a lot myself ......but I can do a little and stop and do a little the next day.........but the good thing is I don't have to be in a big rush and I'm sure my son Joseph will do some of the painting for us.....he's between jobs right now.

We have visitors each time we have went over there....a few nights ago there were two when I took these pictures then there were three then four then five.....was already to dark to get pictures of the others and then a dog came out of nowhere and they scattered.....

House

This is the front yard looking toward the road

I've been a little busy but wanted you all to know I'm still here....WE HAVEN'T CLOSED ON THE HOUSE YET......bummer....just waiting.....hubby has been doing some work on it........the front had gotten over grown so he has been clearing it out......he also with the help of my oldest son removed the old carpet and there was a old recliner left in the den....what use to be the garage...when they removed it it was covered in mildrew.......it was not a cloth fabric more like a leather......hope that was all it was was mildew.....the house had been closed up all this summer and they didn't know how long before that.
