My Old House

It has been a few months now since I showed my old house being worked on. First thing my oldest son was working on was the trim and vinyl when that was done he started putting a metal roof on. That has been done for about 2 months now.

Our fireplace was leaking so before we would use it it had to be covered. They covered it with tarps and it has been this long getting the tarps off and the chimney covered up so it can't rain in.... we have gas logs in the fireplace and didn't want them damaged. This was done yesterday and today I went out to take pictures....sorry about the front porch being a mess I didn't know the tarps were still there...hubby just hasn't gotten around to moving them yet.

I'll show the before .....its pretty and green in this photo....

After the trim was done and gutters were taken down....looks better here

After the roof is done.....

Now to get gutter's put back up.

You see the new addition to my porch
the bench. My sister Debbie ran upon a deal
on these at the end of summer and got all of us sisters one
and her kids. I think she got eleven of them.
She was  very generous ....I DO LOVE MINE.

What a way you have of saying it!!!
"this is the USA now the jobs that people take to make a living is to harass other people...."

Oh our poor beloved Country! Years of time, to try to fix things. And those were wasted years. Will the electorate 'wake up' and stop buying into 'hope and change'???

How's that 'hope and change' working out for you?!? For your friend, who has been out of work for years? For.... etc.

-sigh-

We have gotten to never answering phone, unless we see it is a family member. We use the Answering Machine, and it's set to just 2 rings.

Because most of our calls, are CRAP-O-LA, of one kind or another.

Family knows we do this, and leave a message, and we either get to phone then, or call back.

Anyone with a legitimate need to get in touch with us, will leave a message on the machine.

It's self-preservation! Self-protection! Gotta' do it, to save our blood pressure. Those calls are not calm-making experiences. :-((((((((

Our motto is: happiness is a new roof! And nothing beats a metal roof for feeling really secure. It looks lovely - a real facelift.

The new roof and the trim looks fabulous!
I have my number on a do not call list and it really has helped. I only get a couple of calls a month. I know I'm lucky!

The house looks great Trish. I'm with ya on the annoying phone calls. We've started only using our cell phones and that helps a lot. Have a great evening.
