The quilt that I have in my header is the first quilt top... I have quilted by hand.
I was visiting my Aunt Rachel one week end some thirty years ago... we went shopping.
I believe the store was called Big K at that time. We always had to look at fabric...she was a big big quilter and had been all her live.. she has gone on to Heaven now. I found this piece in a ben where they had rolled it up and marked it down. It was only two and a half yards..... so I debated and debated on if I should take a chance on it. I did and It worked out ok. I was still able to work at this time....so I worked on this quilt in my spare time for about three years to finish it. I gave it to my youngest son after he married and they use it on they're guess bed....the room is blue and the quilt is blue so It looks pretty.
I actually went up there and took this picture on the bed.

The blues are so nice. You did a wonderful job on it, what a nice complement to you that is the bedspread the room is decorated around! Glad you were able to share a bit more about it ~

Oh,I was going to tell you I loved your new header pic, then I read where it was a quilt you made. Is that a "dresden plate" pattern? That is one of my favs. Very pretty quilt.
