A Start & A Finish

My oldest granddaughter left last Sunday to go to school (college). She took as many of her things with her as could be loaded on her truck, we promise her to bring her bed the next weekend.

(How do you like the benches)
Outside a restaurant

Which is going to be this weekend the same day as......

My youngest grand daughters birthday.  I finished her quilt in time, now I don't know if I will make it to the party. Her birthday is Sunday the party is Saturday. I may wait until Sunday to get it to her.

The finished quilt. I took it to McMinnville TN yesterday and had it quilted.

they do a fabulous job, it looks so much better then if I had quilted it.
Hubby is standing on a step ladder holding it up for me.
The quilt is 70 by 80. The pattern is a carpenters wheel.
Up close photo shows why I chose the green.

The quilt is beautiful, Trish! Your granddaughter will love using it on her bed at college. I used a quilt that belonged to my great grandma when I was in college. I still have it. It is so special to me.

Smiles,
Carol

Very, very pretty and what a nice send off for your granddaughter! Somebody had a great idea for the bench backs, too.

I really like your quilt, I sent my granddaughter of to college 3 years ago with her music theme quilt. I just sent my sons quilt to the Quilter it is a Tennessee Vols theme. I am adding you to my side bar if that is ok.
