Fall

We are enjoying the fall at our house. Its pretty to me. I don't think my neighbors think the way I do. The ones next door have about as many leaves off the tree as we do.
The truth being that it wouldn't have gotten this bad had hubby not had neck surgery. He is in a collars for four weeks. We had to hire the work done.
Two days later after all the rain it looks like this again.

The tree that is doing all the damage.
  A beautiful old Maple.

We has so many trick or treaters that we ran out of candy,
had to turn out the lights, they were still coming on our street until
nine o'clock the last time I looked out. They were getting so wet
 it rained all evening.

Hi Trish! Do you have all of those leaves up yet? :) Well, we had our sucked up last week and now the yard looks just like it did! The folks are supposed to come out two more times. Hubby wants to do this but he got a terrible allergy attack last year when he leafed! ;) Thanks for popping in to see me. Are you enjoying your new house?
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

One more trip to do the leaves here and then the mower will be put up for the winter because it will be cold and hubby doesn't like do work on it when it is too cold in the garage. We usually have to finish them in the spring. But this year we haven't had the wind yet to blow them off the trees and I hate to see what it will be like come spring.... Poor hubby. Since radiation treatments it has been a chore this year for him to even ride the mower so I empty the bins. But he refuses to not do it. It is a protest to getting old and cant do the things he used to do.

Trish, personally I like the look of all those pretty leaves on the ground. But I guess they ahve to be raked up sometime. You have some very determined trick or treaters to do it in the rain! I hope your hubby is healing well after his neck surgery. have a blessed day.

I think I may miss raking leaves this year.
But maybe not.

I love it Trish. The other day my hubby mowed our lawn as the rain subsided just enough for him to get the front done.
My youngest granddaughter said yesterday, I just love it when Papa's yard is mowed and the neighbors pretty leaves scatter all over it.
Their's too, is a maple!
