Mannette

Meet my first featherweight. Her name is Mannette born in 1948 she is older then me. lol

The name I always wanted to use for the girl I never had. I have been working on her all evening, Just got her to sewing good she was almost locked up....so slow.

Then after changing the needle I was threading her wrong, went to the featherweight group on Facebook. Found the answer there now she is sewing like a dream. I have been looking for a while. They are so high priced. Was biding on Ebay, Got lucky at the last min I won.

I'm so glad you got Mannete working. I've read of many quilters who sew on those old machines. So much more control. I have a new fangled Bernina about 18 months old and it does sew well but I don't use half the features that it can do. My very first sewing machine was a Singer treadle given to me by my aunt. I wish I had it today. It would be a museuum piece with it's wood cabinet. Yes, your machine is older than I am too. But, I won't say by how much! Have a great Saturday.
