Carpenters Wheel 24 inch block

After making Libby's quilt, using the carpenters wheel pattern.

My aunt liked it so well she wanted to make one using smaller blocks.

I cut out the fabrics for her, for nine blocks...... 24 inch blocks

The first one using pink turned out pretty.

The orange one she made for a pattern to
see how to set them together its a bit smaller. Set in front of her machine.

All her blocks are going to be differ fabrics with a white background.

I tried to save on the sewing as much at possible. Knowing that all the blocks would have to be 3 1/2 inches.

I figured out the size of the block I would need to sew together in a square and then cut in half square triangles. Here is a video showing how its done I know most of you quilter already know this.

These small blocks have as many pieces to sew as the hole quilt top I made for Libby.

That's a lot of sewing, and your blocks are really pretty. I like the pink one.

I really love this pattern! I know it's a lot of work, and I can see where a lot of potential with different materials for holiday quilt blocks. LOVE the orange ;-)
