Trying to do a little sewing. Its not finished, thought it was
after making the photo I decided it is to short. So need to add
another row.
Bow Tie & Snow Ball quilt top. All the fabrics in this
expect the
white & navy with white are around 35 years old.
I tried to use
as many of the older fabrics as I could. I used these same
fabrics in
My oldest granddaughters quilt. This one I am going to give
to her boyfriend.
its only four rows down and four rows across I will make it five down.
I have been having a problem with my blood pressure. Started taking hormones about three weeks ago.
By accident I found it when I was checking my hubby, I checked mine not expecting to fine anything.
His was fine mine was way to high.
Went to doctor. He put me on another pill. I have been taking one for years that is why I was shocked it was high. Still high when I am up busy it gets high when I set and relax it goes down but is still a little high. Right now it's 164/95.
Do any of you have or have had this, if so could you tell me what I can do to get it down.
Any old remedied you know of. lol

I just love the vintage look of the quilt. I think it's wonderful using older fabrics. I hope you can get your blood pressure down. I hope the new medicine works. Have a great weekend.
Change your diet, no salt, more fresh fruit and veggies and lose weight....I have battled this for years...finally had heart attack and ended up in hospital and have 4 different meds to keep bp down..luckily no heart damage hope it stays that way...you may need several types of meds to keep it down like me...
Love the quilt-- I sometimes miss working on one.
I lost 20 lb since Oct. and my B/p dropped and now I just take 1/2 what I did take.
Hang in there It is hard to adjust at our age.
Hi, Trish...I've had high blood pressure for years...since my 40's. I'm taking 3 bp meds a day and it's keeping my pressure down....mine, with the meds, usually runs about 130/75, which is good. Maybe you need to visit with your doctor and see if you need more meds.
Your quilt is pretty...xox
The quilt looks lovely. I have been on one medication for probably 15 years for HBP. Then about 8 years ago I was put on a second one. They seem to do the trick but I have noticed that my BP stays the same, doesn't fluctuate since I was put on a diuretic over a year ago. Keeps extra fluid from hanging around my heart and lungs. Hope you can get this all figured out soon.
I like your Bow Tie/Snowball quilt. Sorry, can't help with the high blood pressure. Thankfully, mine is low, so far. Good luck with it.
Your quilt is so lovely...hugs, Julierose
I love bow tie blocks. This looks great!
