My Newest Quilts

Last week my Aunt that quilts all the time has used up most of her stash so she gave me two quilts in exchange for two large bags of fabric.

This one has already been quilted. Would you tell me what you have always hear it is called.

I do believe it can be called more then one name. My aunt Rachel use to make them, she called it one name and Aunt Marbrey call's it another.

Of course I just call this a house. I may use this one on my bed.

I have show a lot of my Aunt Marbrey quilts on here. I do love quilts. I have only made quilts for my sons and grand kids now I have a great grand to make one for.

O MY! IT IS RAINING HERE AGAIN ON THE FIRST.  15 days this month....SAME AS LAST MONTH FOR US.

I made one like that first one a few years ago, for my daughter. I call her "Sunbonnet Sue".

How blessed you are to receive a FINISHED quilt ! I need to find some trades !

My grandmother and I made one of the "dutch doll" quilts when I was small. That is what she called that pattern. :O)...

We've always called them Sunbonnet Sue and I want one!!! :)
I am not a seamstress but I sure am in the mood to make another quilt. I am not good at it and only do very simple designs...I made one for my daughter..and one for each of our 10 grands. Now, like you, I have 3 great=grands to make one for. This time, I am going to try for something other than a 9 patch or block quilt.
What kinds have you made ?

What fabulous quilts, Trish. Gorgeous. I am not positive but having quilted some in past years I always knew the first quilt pattern to be "Sun Bonnet Sue". Thank you for commenting on my digital art piece. Hugs, Gayle.
