New Year's Day Tradition

Hope for all a blessed New Year! What did you do on this New Years day.

I used my new Paula Deen Cookware my granddaughter gave me for Christmas...to cook up our
New Year's Day Tradition.

We always have our black eyed peas and hog jowl, usually with turnip greens.

This year I had mixed greens. The greens are for the green money.

We had fried potato's,fried chicken,, corn bread to finish the meal.

I had my dad and granddaughter Ashley over to eat with us.
Then she had to go to work.  Both my oldest granddaughters had to work today.
Good sign they will be working all year.

It also rained here on the first it will be raining 15 days this month or snowing.
I would rather have rain.

Lots of things going on here hubby has been on vacation along with Christmas so I have
not been on the computer much at all.

Wishing you all a Happy New Year.

That sounds yummy, Trish! So nice to have new cookware too. I got a new skillet for Christmas, and I love it!
Enjoy the rest of your week! We start back to school/work today.

I love traditions! It goes along with my word of the year, plan. When you have traditions like your new year's meal, you don't have to plan, you already know what you're going to eat. :)
I started my new routine of cleaning and organizing yesterday... feeling really good about this!
Happy New Year Trish!

I like your tradition. I make tamales for New Years day and did again this year. Also baked delicious muffins for breakfast, watched the parade and just kicked back all day with my hubby. Happy 2013. Hugs from Lu
