Ten Inch Block

It's time I started thinking about Libby's Quilt. This will be my last quilt to make for my grandchildren.

I have to let a image roll around in my head for a while to come up with a pattern to use. I make up my own most of the time.

I have been looking at the 10 min block on you-tube and have cut out a few blocks, just testing my thoughts on this not sure its going to be the way I want to go.

It's been so long since I have sewn...will be like starting over.
I don't use the most modern
way of cutting out my fabric. I just do the way I have taught
myself.

As you can see I use my own templates that my hubby cuts out.
I have all different sizes,  I haven't used a lot of them, this one I ask him to cut
just two days ago. Its a ten by ten square.

As I have said before I am a thrifty quilter. I have lots of fabric's
that has been given to me so I have to try and match up the fabric.
Which I think will be harder in a big ten inch block
more so then using scraps.
This is why I don't know if I can use this block.
I'll see as I check out what fabrics I have to work with.
Have a great week end.

I have tons of fabric and I just mix and match. Whatever you do, she will love it because you made it!

I know it will come to you very soon and it will turn out gorgeous. I have never made a quilt but of course admire them so much and all the work that goes into them. Good luck. Hugs...Lu

Hi Trish~
How many quilts have you made? Will you miss making them or will there be some great grandchildren eventually to do one for? I think that handmade quilts are so special!!
