Display Case

My next work of art.
Guess you would call it a display case. I wanted it for some of my dishes. Found at a online auction, I paid 27 dollars.  I think it maybe from the seventy's.

Didn't know for sure if it was going to paint up well, I was quite surprised. I like it much better then before. It has sliding glass in the front.

I painted this in black onyx as well. I got a gal of this paint because I have a few pieces I want to paint. I would have preferred a china cabinet, maybe I will fine one I can redo, this will work until then.
I was actually thinking about selling it until it was finished...now  I kinda like it.

I think the black really makes it pop! Are you keeping the doors on it? What a great find, Trish!

I love the color! I have a few things to redo and that color is great for furniture. I also love your headboard. Great job! Hugs, LJ

Great find at an amazing price! I'm a new fan of mid century modern furniture and would be happy to scoop up something like this! Your choice of paint is perfect to blend this piece with today's decor styling.

I almost cried when I saw the before photo of the display/book case!
My parents had bought a livingroom group in the 60's that was the then favorable "blonde" furniture.
It consisted of a coffee table, 2 (2 level) end tables, a 2 level corner table and THIS very piece that you've updated!
In our house, it was kept in our entryway, stashed full of several sets of encyclopedias. On top we always had a 10 gallon aquarium of fancy guppies.
I wish I could find another piece like this one.
Oh, the memories!
