I got the baby chicks on the 9th of March....and took pictures. I am writing this so I can look back in the blog and remember the date. So little here........
One week and two days later......March 18th
My plans are to have my own eggs and fryers...when these little fellows
raise me some more chicks. We use to raise our own when I was a kid
hope to do it again.

Trish,
I want some too. How sweet. I hope you will take pictures and show them as they progress.

Definitely keep taking pics! I love seeing them grow up. :)
when we lived in Oregon, we had Aracuna hens. the kids had so much fun watching them grow from itsy-bitsy chicks to hens. They laid pastel colored eggs, pink/biege, blue, green.
Fresh eggs taste sooo much better than market eggs. You are so lucky to have them. =)

I have a lot of blog friends that do this - this is so interesting. Good luck - are you going to eat some? sandie
How adorable. Good Luck with the little cuties.

How wonderful. We always had chickens and my mom still does.... Can't stand a store bought egg!
Wow! That'll be great to have your own little chicken farm! Fresh eggs are the best!
We have a Tractor Supply store around the corner and last year they were selling chicks around Easter time. So many of my neighbors bought them as "pets" for their kids. The good news is, I know where to go when I need to borrow an egg. LOL!

Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Bet you cant wait for some of those tasty eggs! They'll be needing a bigger place to stay soon. They grow so fast.
These are so cute, Trish! I think that is so neat that you do that.
Wishing you a wonderful day!

O, Trish....I just wish we lived in the country....I would have some chickens, too.
I remember when my mother ordered the little chicks THRU THE MAIL. It was sooo fun to get that box of tiny chicks and they would be peeping their little heads off. :))
