Now be honest you can't believe I have this on my bed lol...well truth is no one is sleeping in this bed and I did wash it using bleach.
I want to keep it in as good a shape as I can....... as I can not fix it but to me its a beauty.
I can not remember where I got the quilt......If I found it at a yard sale or if my mother gave it to me.
She was always going to trade day and would sometimes find a bargain and buy it for me.
One of my best thrifty finds is covering her ........found at goodwill for 5.99.....I personally like bedspreads over comforters.

The old quilt is lovely. It's difficult to find bedspreads like the one you have on the bed. I like them too.
I love that old quilt, I bet it could tell some stories! What a good deal on the bedspread, too!

Your olden quilt is really beautiful, my friend. I certainly can see why you are hanging on to it! It reminded me of the tattered quilt that I have neatly folded in my Hope Chest. My dear, sweet Grandma made it for me when I was just a child. After I married...I used it and I used it...enjoyed each and every beautiful square of it! But now...I wished that I would have put it away and only taken it out for special occasions. It really is beyond repair.

I love your old quilt - there us just something that feels so good and safe about a quilt.
That is a beautiful old quilt! I would put it on display too! I love the other quilt too! I prefer quilts over comforters too.
