my quilt was a gift to my oldest son when he married
that's been years and he doesn't know what happen to it
it was a nine patch with two and a half inch white strips around the blocks
and a corner square of burgundy......next picture is Alicia laying on the quilt
and me seated beside her
have a good week. God Bless Trish

Oh what great pictures... You looked almost as proud to be a grammy as I was when my first granddaughter was born.
I am sorry to hear that your oldest son doesn't know what happened to that quilt.... That a 'boy' for you!!!!! Darn! ha ha
I have a quilt which belonged to my mother. She didn't quilt it --but it was hers --and it means so much to me.

Great pictures,Trish. :) I hope your son can find the quilt! Your granddaughter is so cute.
What a wonderful post to read! First quilts are so nostalgic, but first grandchildren are priceless. She is beautiful! My first grandchild, Cody Dale is 17 and a senior this year. Seems like yesterday when he was on my lap as a baby, okay Colleen stop it or you will be crying!!! Actually he is just as precious now as he was then, football player and golfer and drives a 1958 Cadillac he is restoring. What a time these last 17 yrs have been, looking forward to many more.
Thanks for your sweet post as it put me back into another time in my life!
Colleen
