Sewing Machine & Cabinet

A diamond in the rough......from my local GW for the unbelievable price of nineteen dollars..... a beautiful sewing machine in a beautiful cabinet. What a fine!

Hard to believe what a bargain I have found. This is a keeper. Hubby can't cut this one up...
Now thats just like me... I'm a pack rat....who needs two machine cabinets or another machine for that matter........if anyone can tell me any thing about the Modern machine please do...... it will help me to decide on if I should keep her and her cabinet intact.

are give her body ........

                                            to this little baby........

right now she is setting on a fold up table. She is a gem... does all the piecing of my quilt tops.... will have to think on this one for a while...... if anyone can tell me any thing about the Modern machine please do.

 God Bless Trish

Trish,
What a great bargain you got! I think my Singer machine was made about the same year I was born, and I wouldn't trade it for anything. Those older machines will sew through anything because they are made so strong! I've told my husband if our house ever caught on fire that he would find me dragging my sewing machine out the back door because I couldn't replace it! Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment on this Pink Saturday. Hope you come back often.

Nice find indeed. My godmother asked me if I wanted her old sewing machine because she got a newer one...it turned out to be a Singer Featherweight in carrying case and with all the attachments. Guess what I answered? I am still thrilled to have it and that was four years ago.

Oh, what a glorious looking machine! I love the shapelyness of it and it has the table too!
Thank you for popping in to see me.

That's a beautiful machine! I would have bought it, too. $19 is a steal, especially since the cabinet is in such good shape. I don't know anything about the brand, but it sure looks like a sturdy machine. The color is awesome, too!

I agree with the comment from Sherry above. If my house started on fire, I'd be dragging out my sewing machines, too!!! lol!!
